# Processes > Reusable process definitions with workstation, default duration, skills, templates, and order usage. - Canonical HTML: [https://syncroplan.com/en/docs/operations](https://syncroplan.com/en/docs/operations) - Language: English - Roles: owner, manager - Keywords: processes, operations, workstation, default time, skills ## Outcome You will define reusable production activities used throughout planning. ## Before you start - At least one Workstation. ## Menu path Menu → Processes ## Step-by-step instructions 1. Select “+ Add process”, enter a unique Name, choose Workstation, and enter Default time. 2. Save, then add that process as a skill to the relevant Workers. 3. Add it to a Template or Order and adjust duration for the specific work when needed. 4. Use “Edit” to change the catalog definition for future use. 5. Select “Delete” only if no skill, template, order, or history references it. ## What you see on screen - The list shows name, assigned workstation, and default duration in hours. - Default duration is a starting value; each order keeps its own planned duration. ## Effects of changes - Workstation constrains concurrency and skills constrain available workers. - Editing the catalog does not rewrite existing order steps. ## Important warnings - A referenced process cannot be deleted. After changing its workstation, regenerate the schedule. ## Common problems ### No worker is available for a process. Give at least one active worker the matching skill. ### Delete reports a conflict. Remove the listed usages or retain the process as historical catalog data. ## Related articles - [Workstations](https://syncroplan.com/en/docs/workstations.md): Workstation types, parallel units, quantity impact, and deletion constraints. - [Workers](https://syncroplan.com/en/docs/workers.md): Production profiles, accounts, skills, absences, inactive status, and schedule impact analysis. - [Templates](https://syncroplan.com/en/docs/templates.md): Reusable order flows with sequences, parallel blocks, paths, materials, and product fields. - [Orders](https://syncroplan.com/en/docs/orders.md): Create, filter, copy, edit, schedule, and move orders through their complete status lifecycle.
