# Templates > Reusable order flows with sequences, parallel blocks, paths, materials, and product fields. - Canonical HTML: [https://syncroplan.com/en/docs/templates](https://syncroplan.com/en/docs/templates) - Language: English - Roles: owner, manager - Keywords: templates, sequence, parallel block, path, materials, product fields, copy ## Outcome You will create a repeatable production flow that produces complete orders quickly. ## Before you start - Defined Processes and optional Materials. - Only an Owner can define product fields. ## Menu path Menu → Templates ## Step-by-step instructions 1. Select “+ Add template”, enter Template name, and start in “Edit details”. 2. Add operations to Main sequence or select “+ Add parallel block”, then “Add path” and “Add operation”. 3. Set alias, duration, technological break, worker count, and Indivisible; reorder with controls or drag and drop. 4. Switch to “Edit order” to view blocks and move items between the main sequence and paths. 5. Add Materials. An owner can also add text, number, or list Product fields with units, options, and Required. 6. Save. On the template card use “Copy”, “Edit”, “Delete”, or “Create order”. 7. When creating an order, enter product values and deadline; the order becomes an independent copy. ## What you see on screen - Main sequence runs in order. Paths within one block may run concurrently, and the next block waits for the previous block. - An Indivisible operation must fit one uninterrupted availability window. - The card summarizes processes and materials. - A manager may preserve existing product fields but cannot add, remove, or redefine them. ## Effects of changes - Copy creates a separate template. - Editing does not update orders created earlier. - Deleting schedules template attachments for removal while existing orders remain. ## Important warnings - Deleting a path removes its steps from the saved definition. Review both editor modes before saving. ## Common problems ### Operations do not run in parallel. Put them in different paths of the same block; operations inside one path remain sequential. ### A manager cannot save product-field changes. This is role-protected. Ask an owner to define fields, then edit the remaining template without changing them. ## Related articles - [Processes](https://syncroplan.com/en/docs/operations.md): Reusable process definitions with workstation, default duration, skills, templates, and order usage. - [Materials](https://syncroplan.com/en/docs/materials.md): Material types and units plus order-level coverage monitoring. - [Orders](https://syncroplan.com/en/docs/orders.md): Create, filter, copy, edit, schedule, and move orders through their complete status lifecycle. - [Roles and permissions](https://syncroplan.com/en/docs/roles-and-permissions.md): What owners, managers, and workers can do, plus the effect of membership status. ## Screenshots - [Detail mode configures durations, breaks, headcount, materials, and fields.](https://syncroplan.com/docs/en/template-details.webp): Template detail editor with processes and materials - [Order mode shows sequence, block, and path dependencies.](https://syncroplan.com/docs/en/template-structure.webp): Template order editor with a parallel block and paths
